Renium (75Re) yang terbentuk secara alami terdiri dari satu isotop stabil (walaupun diperkirakan akan meluruh), 185Re (37,4% kelimpahan alami), dan satu radioisotop berumur panjang, 187Re, dengan waktu paruh 4,12×1010 tahun (62,6% kelimpahan alami). Di antara unsur-unsur dengan isotop stabil yang diketahui, hanya indium dan telurium yang serupa terjadi dengan isotop stabil dalam kelimpahan yang lebih rendah daripada isotop radioaktif berumur panjang.
Ada 33 isotop tidak stabil lainnya yang dikenal, yang berumur paling panjang adalah 183Re dengan waktu paruh 70 hari, 184Re dengan waktu paruh 38 hari, 186Re dengan waktu paruh 3,7186 hari, 182Re dengan waktu paruh 64,0 jam, dan 189Re dengan waktu paruh 24,3 jam. Unsur ini juga memiliki banyak isomer, yang berumur paling panjang adalah 186mRe dengan waktu paruh 200.000 tahun dan 184mRe dengan waktu paruh 169 hari.
